They got back to Pembrose and had dinner with Lord Kyle. They even seemed surprised when he didn't mention another job he needed doing. As if they expected step-by-step instructions to find my tomb.
I did, however, enjoy the look on the tiefling's face when the gnome showed up - it was like he was seeing a ghost!
For lack of other ideas, they decided to go visit Crus. Of course they did; if there's anyone in the valley that knows anything about the Underdark, it'd be him. They almost forgot to ask him to translate my diary too - I mean, what good is having some cryptic writing if you don't know what it says? Could have been a shopping list for all they knew, but still they carried it around with them.
So they decided it was time to craft some magical items. Taernyl, that must have been boring to watch!
Finally, they decided they were ready to venture forth into the Underdark again, and entered under the Drake. The fools didn't even realize that they'd just get back to where they had explored before, and they ran into Vordek. Again. And let me say, he wasn't too pleased with them, either. I was certain that someone was going to die when the gnome threw some bones at the thief! But alas, I shall have to have patience.
