Still, it should be interesting to monitor their progress. I wonder if they will get further than the last group before they meet their untimely deaths? Gods, what fools these mortals be. They have such limited time to be among the living, yet they insist on cutting it ever shorter by pursuing that which they cannot have - namely, my treasure. Sarmgu's teachings, I have come to believe, are not for the short-lived.
These fools arrived in Bostwick today, and seem to have already managed to offend Jeffar. My, that woman is getting surly in her old age. They even asked her of me. Of course, she's too busy helping the helpless to do anything selfish, like hunt for treasure. Morgath's got it all wrong, if you ask me. Is there any reason why the powerful should not take advantage and live a life of luxury?
They had a chat with that tiresome half-elf, Elwynn, before Jeffar tricked them into rushing into danger without a second thought. The fools! The priest seemed to want to prove himself to Jeffar, and ended up seeing his Goddess much sooner than he was expecting, I think, when a troll easily ripped him in half. The rest of his companions nearly died as well. It was quite comical, indeed, but in the end, they managed to fumble their way to victory.
I believe that the only thing they got out of that encounter was passage on a barge heading downriver. Perhaps they'll have better luck in Pembrose, but somehow, I doubt it.
